At Domu, we are 100% unapologetically focussed on our (future) residents' experience whilst living with us, and are building a product, ecosystem, and organisational structure that will enable us to deliver on our promises.
We started our journey by identifying the values that modern renters care about the most - wellness, sustainability, convenience, and inspiring design. We also thought about the undeniable moments that make you feel at home - in a house - but are hard to replicate in apartments: lots of daylight, access to fresh air, a celebration of natural materials, and tall-feeling spaces. We combined all of these needs with an obsession to accommodate our (future) residents' varying needs - adaptable lighting, storage with personalised interiors, quiet and energy efficient heating, and integrated digital services.
By bringing design thinking to housing, it has allowed us to think deeply about our residents' needs in a way that is rarely done, almost never delivered upon, and even harder to achieve at a sustainable cost.
Our very ethos - the origins of the name Domu - has inspired us to ensure our residents' feel the intentionality of the spaces we are creating for them, almost like they are living in a piece of crafted furniture, fine tuned for their specific needs.
Recognising that we ourselves are on a journey to answer a number of fundamental questions across the entire development process, our product has been designed to allow multiple construction methods be deployed, depending on a number of factors specific to each site, and the timing of its delivery. We also know we need to lead the creation of an exceptional collaboration environment between client, design team, main contractor, sub contractors, and multiple supply chain partners if we are to be truly successful with our vision.

Domu's foundation is an exceptional product imbued with a vision toward the future.
